Food Insecurity

check
Tiger Hospitality has partnered with the Food Recovery Network and Swipe Out Hunger to reduce food insecurity on campus. The Food Recovery Network recovers an average of 325lbs of edible food each week that is redistributed within the campus community.

Reuse Pass

check

In Tiger Hospitality’s focus to reduce waste created on campus, we offer the Reuse Pass program. By including reusable containers with every All-Access meal plan we give our guests the opportunity to do their part to reduce waste, save water, and avoid emissions associated with the use of single-use packaging.

Reusepass

How the Reuse Pass works:

- First go to ReusePass.com and enter your phone number to create your free ReusePass account.
- Show your ReusePass QR to the cashier to check-out reusable containers.
- Enjoy your waste-free meal & drop containers off at West Village, Glen, or Newell.
- Use your ReusePass account to keep track of what containers you’ve checked out and when they are due back.

Babylon Micro – Farms

check

Tiger Hospitality currently has two Babylon Micro-Farms in operation at our Residential Dining locations! The Babylon Micro-Farms are indoor hydroponic micro farms requiring only water and nutrients to grow vegetables year around with no pesticides. The Glen Dining location grows basil, arugula, and other assorted microgreens for use in-house! The West Village Dining location produces an average of 200 heads of lettuce each month, that are then donated to The Hub and/or the Food Recovery Network to help fight food insecurity.

Oscar

check

Tiger Hospitality installed Oscar, the world’s 1st recycling technology to engage, nudge and help our guest sort their waste correctly! The system uses artificial intelligence to give guests instant feedback, telling them whether their waste item should be composted, recycled, or disposed of in the landfill. The data collected then allows us to better target our efforts at reducing our environmental footprint.
